High Intensity Laser Therapy
High Intensity Laser Therapy is non-invasive and potentially transforming treatment for acute and chronic pain.
This laser therapy is safe for people of all ages, from young athletes with acute injuries to older patients with chronic pain. Treatments are comfortable – even relaxing. During treatment, the patient usually feels warmth and a little tingling in the area of focus.
High Intensity Laser Therapy treatments are not covered under medical insurance. However, the treatments are affordable and accessible. High Intensity Laser Therapy is also available at the LifeBridge Health Center for Pain Treatment and Regenerative Medicine at Sinai Hospital.
What Are the Benefits?
High Intensity Laser Therapy can:
- Relieve musculoskeletal pain
- Improve flexibility and range of motion
- Reduce swelling
High Intensity Laser Therapy is commonly used on the elbow, heel, hip, knee, low back, neck, shoulder, wrist and more.
Pricing
High Intensity Laser Therapy sessions are $50 per session. Patients can receive a discount of $10 per session when they purchase five or more sessions. Additional discount pricing is available for LifeBridge Health employees.
Acupuncture
One of the oldest methods of traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture is based on the belief that life energy flows throughout the body and affects physical, mental and emotional health. Acupuncture is used for a variety of therapeutic reasons, from relieving pain and stress to promoting fertility.
During an acupuncture session, a licensed acupuncturist inserts tiny, hair-thin needles into specific points on the body to help restore proper energy flow. When this energy is unblocked, the body is able to function more effectively.
Staff
Kylee Kendall, L.AC.
LifeBridge Health & Fitness, Care Provider
Kylee Kendall, L.Ac., earned her Bachelor degree in psychology from Judson University in Elgin, Ill. After graduating, she worked at Elite Rehabilitation in Plainfield, Ill., where she was introduced to alternative medicine for the first time. After working with the acupuncturist at Elite Rehabilitation, she knew that she wanted to pursue a career in acupuncture. She was fascinated with the way that traditional Chinese medicine focused on finding and treating the root cause of the condition rather than solely treating the symptom.
In 2017, Kendall graduated as valedictorian and summa cum laude with a Master’s of Science in Acupuncture (M.S.Ac.) from National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Ill. She completed 840 hours in her clinical acupuncture internship at NUHS. She is a licensed acupuncturist (L.Ac.) in the state of Maryland. Kylee is certified in clean needle technique (CNT) and cosmetic (facial rejuvenation) acupuncture. Kylee is also a certified Laser therapist.
One of Kylee’s greatest passions is educating and encouraging her patients so that they are able to take charge of their own health.
