FITNESS LUNCHTIME LEARNING Join Personal Trainer John Vargo to learn about the importance of stretching. During this demonstration you will learn new stretches, different methods of stretching and how to properly stretch. John has 20 years as a trainer and coach, and is a multi-time Iron Man triathlon finisher. This is free to members. See you at the stretching area. PILATES IN THE POOL This unique workout allows the body to assume positions comfortably that are only possible in the water without stress to the joints. PILATES FOR BACK PAIN Do you have chronic back pain due to herniated disc, spinal stenosis, degenerative joint disease, scoliosis, spondylolisthesis, and/or osteoporosis? Using the Pilates studio equipment (Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, and Barrels) you will learn exercises that will strengthen the core muscles, stabilize the joints, increase flexibility, and improve overall balance and posture. Yin Yoga is a passive, transformative style of Hatha yoga that asks participants to hold postures for up to 5-minutes in length. This longer hold of poses is done to strengthen, lengthen, and provide therapeutic release to joints, muscles, ligaments, fascia, and other connective tissues.
